Viganò testimony

Supports investigating Archbishop Viganò’s claims
  • In a public statement praising Archbishop Viganó, Bishop Kemme said “In the brief time that my service here as bishop and his service as papal nuncio coincided, I always thought highly of his leadership and regarded him as someone whom the Church could be proud of in her service….The allegations of such a respected bishop in the Church and one charged with such great responsibility as the papal nuncio to the United States demands such an investigation.” (LifeSiteNews)

  • In 2019, Bishop Kemme dissolved the only Latin Mass Community in the Diocese of Wichita. Instead of its own community, the Traditional Latin Mass will be celebrated as an addition to the Novus Ordo Missae in another diocesan parish. Kemme explained his rationale by saying that he no longer wished for the Novus Ordo and the Traditional Latin Mass to “co-exist” with each other. Rather, he believes that they should become “fully integrated” into a single parish community. (The Remnant Newspaper)
