In January 2019, Bishop Gomez participated in and said a prayer at the OneLife LA pro-life march. Gomez said Roe v. Wade was one of the “saddest days” in American history and that post-Roe America treats human life as cheap and disposable. “There is so much we could protest against the way our society treats the unborn, the elderly, the sick, the disabled, and the poor. But OneLife LA is about the light, not the darkness.”
